My name is Carla Weier

I find true joy in the successes of my clients everyday. I created Compleat Fitness to share my experience and inspire others to live strong, healthy and passionate lives. My background in fitness and nutrition are the perfect blend to help you reach optimal health and wellness.

As the founder of Compleat Fitness Ltd, I am a Board Certified Holistic Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and Triathlon coach.  I hold numerous certifications from the National Association of Sports Medicine, Institute for Integrative Nutrition, USA Triathlon and Road Runners Club of America. As an accomplished athlete I compete local road races and triathlons as well as national and international endurance races.  In my youth I competed in equestrian sports including dressage, jumping, and cross country eventing. As a Holistic Health Counselor I am trained in a variety of dietary theories, eastern and western nutrition, modern health issues, personal growth and development, and health counseling. I use a whole-body approach with each of my clients. I utilize and integrate all parts of life in your program including nutrition, fitness, career, relationships, home environment, and spirituality.

I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree concentrating on Environmental Sciences. Upon graduation I moved to New York City where I spent several years managing the elite Miller’s Equestrian Store. I continued in retail and wholesale management for a number of years. Upon searching within myself for more purposeful work, I began to follow my passion for cooking, exercise, and nutrition. Once I clarified my own wants and needs I felt confident that a career as a holistic health counselor and personal trainer would provide a richer, more satisfying life. I founded Compleat Fitness Ltd in 2005 and now am committed to helping people to do things THEY want to do with their lives.

My husband and I live in Sherman Oaks, CA where I meet in person with my clients.

At ComplEAT FITness I, Carla Weier, design specialized fitness, sports performance and nutrition programs for people who want to improve fitness, endurance, health, and wellness.  I help busy people sustain their energy by clarifying their wants and needs while receiving support through a complete personalized approach to physical wellness.

I offer a combination of nutrition counseling, personal training, triathlon and running coaching.

Methodology


The Compleat Fitness approach has several key components.

I believe in making simple adjustments over time that can be used for the rest of your life. Here is how I work:
  1. Keeping it simple, I focus on you and your goals.
  2. Being your guide; I will gently push you to reach your full potential.  I encourage you to experience life on your own; but will be present when you need a helping hand.
  3. Remaining flexible; I create programs based on what YOU need.
  4. Teaching you to be self-reliant; I encourage you to plan for yourself and execute your goals.
  5. Focusing on primary food; primary aspects of your life such as career, relationships, exercise, and spirituality impact your health as much as the food you put in your mouth.
  6. Teaching you to listen to your body, you will learn that food in itself is not inherently good or bad. The food you eat does have a powerful effect on your health, mood, thoughts and energy. When given the chance, your body will identify the food that works best for you.

My clients are smart, ambitious, health-conscious, and busy.

They are often searching for the perfect nutrition plan and fitness routine. Most are confused about the conflicting nutrition messages in books, magazines, and the media. They want to give their bodies the best fuel possible, but they don’t know how to figure out which food choices are right for them.

Typically they are independent and are used to getting things done on their own, but have come to realize that if they had someone encouraging and nurturing them they could go much further. My specialty is helping busy people fall in love with healthy eating and rejuvenating exercise.

Is this something you might say?

  • I eat lots of take-out. I want to eat better, but I don’t have time to cook and I don’t know where to start;
  • My energy crashes around mid-afternoon and I’m not sure why;
  • I feel stuck. My workouts don’t excite me and I feel like I’m wasting my time at the gym;

  • I eat pretty healthy and I work out regularly, yet I can’t seem to lose that last 10 pounds;
